Defining Blame

I have a quibble with the paragraph about blame, and I'm not sure how to address it. I think this is defining blame in a specific way that I'm not sure I would always agree with, and I think people sometime see it differently.

"These observations illustrate a problem with the idea of blame. Blame focuses on explaining something bad in terms of a fault or flaw of one person; in this case, most people would probably blame the person who physically attacked the other, but that person might blame the person who was verbally harassing them. Regardless of who is blamed, if anyone is blamed, it fails to acknowledge the influence of the other factors.

The statements in bold are stated as absolutes which I don't think I would always agree with.Sylvia 12:08, 26 March 2013 (CDT)

I agree that these are problematic--oversimplifications and too absolute. I updated them, let me know if it addresses your concerns. Cazort 12:00, 26 March 2013 (CDT)
